Why Our Audiometry Software Is Free, Forever

We know that running a practice or any business is tough. While we can’t magic away all of your problems at once, we can help with a few of them and help lighten the load. The KUDUwave already goes a long way in doing this and the software is no different.

Whether you are an audiologist, nurse, doctor or occupational health company, we are invested in your success as much as our own.

You see, we have a BHAG.

Before you say “Gezondheid”, this is not an illness. In fact, BHAG is a term coined by James Collins and Jerry Porras in their book “Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies” which stands for Big Hairy Audacious Goal.

A BHAG is a strategic goal, similar to a mission or vision statement but much more powerful as it tends to change the very nature of a business’ existence.

So what is our BHAG?

To make quality hearing healthcare accessible to the world, and help to stem the tide of hearing loss through early intervention.

Before you call us crazy, here are a few more examples of seemingly impossible BHAGs that you might recognize:

“A computer on every desk and in every home”

Bill Gates, 1975

“Enable human exploration and settlement of Mars”

SpaceX

“Organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful.”

Google:

We acknowledge the magnitude of the goal we have set and fully recognize its audaciousness. We also know that we cannot do this alone.

Truth be told, if we are ever to reach this lofty target, we need to ensure that you, our customers, are successful. We want to give you the freedom to operate with as little restriction as possible and to use that freedom to make a positive change.

Success may mean different things to different people but to us, success means being the catalyst for change so that millions of patients receive quality care. For others, it may mean a thriving practice or profitable occupational health practice.

The fact is, in this game, everyone wins. But most of all, patients receive the care they deserve, and there is no shortage of patients in need. So, the better you do, the further we reach.

So what does this have to do with free software?

In the KUDUwave, we have created a unique, world-class technological solution. Something we are very proud of. But at the heart of the KUDUwave is the software that gives it life. Without it, the KUDUwave would not exist.

So with this in mind, we decided that we could not ethically allow you to invest in the KUDUwave while keeping its heart to ransom. So for this reason, when you invest in KUDUwave technology, the core software comes for free, forever.

We only ask that you use it to see and treat as many patients as possible.

If you have any knowledge of software development, you would likely be thinking "That sounds like quite an investment" and you would be right.

Sure, we could simply pass off software at a monthly fee, and tie you into contracts for years like many other companies choose to do.

But that's just not us.

We believe that your investment in our technology is a 2-way street.

Our team constantly listens to our customer's to optimize and improve the core software. We add new features and functions, fix bugs and roll out fresh new updates as soon as they are ready (also free).

You have invested in us, and this helps us to get even closer to our dream goal. As such, we invest in you by ensuring that the heart and soul of the KUDUwave is always improving. Helping you to go further and do more.

To ensure that you don't miss out on any of the available functionality and are comfortable with your device we also offer free online training within the first 30 days of your KUDUwave purchase.

Support is available via email, website chat, social media or telephonically. There is also a full-featured online knowledge base with video tutorials and instructions for you to access anytime. All of which is free of charge.

How do you make money?

As well as the price you pay for your KUDUwave device we also offer the ability to upgrade your device by adding additional hardware to increase its functionality, such as extended high-frequency functionality, or Xcheck for older devices that do not have it installed.

We will also be offering a range of premium plugins and/or services that will provide additional functionality to what the current core software offers.

These premium features are entirely optional and you will only pay for them if you need them. More news on this later in the year.

While we do offer a comprehensive academy and knowledge base available on our website, training of new staff members or product refresher courses are also available at a fee.
